Our Commitment to Our Donors
We trust that God will provide the funds that we need without us barraging you with too much mail.
We will be up front about our financial needs.
Emmaus Ministries is a piece of God’s work that has been entrusted to our staff, volunteers, prayer supporters, and donors. Because our work is really God’s work and your resources are really God’s resources, we won’t hesitate to candidly ask for the things that we need to effectively serve men involved in prostitution. By the same token, because our resources are God’s resources, we will use them as effectively as possible and we will carefully consider the importance of a project before we ask for funds to implement it. We will not exaggerate as we strive to keep you informed about how our work is going. We will pursue honesty and integrity as we communicate with you about the problems that we are facing and the triumphs that Christ is achieving through us.
We will keep necessary overhead costs lean and efficient.
Our mission here is to serve God by helping men involved in prostitution and we want as much of our funding as possible to go directly toward helping them.
Our financial records are completely open to you.
As a donor, you have a right to know that your money is being used in an efficient and ethical manner. You can click on the links above for our most recent audit or Form 990. You can also call or email our office for a hard copy of these documents, as well as a copy of our most recent Annual Report. If you want any additional info about our finances, just ask! We will conduct our administrative and financial affairs with humility and excellence. We who work here in the office will strive to maintain a proper vision of what Emmaus is all about. That vision will drive us to excellence in our role in the ministry.
We consider your financial support a sacred trust and regard ourselves as ultimately accountable to God for the good stewardship of the funds you have entrusted to us. We also believe we must be fully accountable to the public. Therefore:
- We carefully follow accounting procedures established by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
- An independent CPA firm audits us annually. A copy of our most recent annual audit is available.
- We regularly publish reports in which administrative and fundraising expenses are identified. These reports are available upon request.
- All names on our mailing list are kept confidential. We do not rent, sell, or exchange our mailing list. We always strive to be responsible in our management, truthful in our communications, and cost-effective in our fundraising.
We will pray for you.
Because God is doing important work in each of our lives, and it is our job as the Body of Christ to support one another, we want to hold you up in prayer as you hold us up financially and with your prayers.
