Sill has led a group on sexual and relational brokenness for many years at Emmaus, starting in 1995. He came on staff full time as Ministry Director in 2004, and has found his work at Emmaus to be a consistent reminder of the grace and mercy that God and others have shown him on his own road to healing. Sill is glad to share in the joys and sorrows of the men at Emmaus.
Sill worked in AIDS services and other areas of social service for more than 30 years. He came to Emmaus from AIDSCare in Chicago, where for six years he managed the residential facility and did case management. Prior to that, he did HIV/AIDS-related work for Cook County. He currently serves on the board of Overcomers, a ministry to the sexually broken.
Sill attends church at the Chicago Tabernacle. He has two children, a daughter and a son, who bring him much joy. When he isn’t ministering, he likes to travel, take pictures, and listen to different types of music. One of his favorite scriptures is Isaiah 40:31: “…but those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.”
