Operations Coordinator

Christa originally came on staff with Emmaus Ministries in April 1994. She rejoined the staff in the fall of 2009 after two years away. She claims Chicago as home, having grown up in New England, the Midwest, the South, and the Middle East. Christa enjoys seeing people come to recognize their worth in God’s eyes. Outside of Emmaus, she can be found most often in the Uptown neighborhood, biking along Lake Michigan, walking her dog Kodi, or assisting community members with their tax returns. She enjoys making jewelry, playing the cello, and traveling and currently attends New Life Community Church-Lakeview(www.newlifechicago.org). Since 1997 Christa’s dog Kodi has spent a great deal of time at the ministry. Christa is only a little bitter that people usually greet him on the streets of Uptown before greeting her.
