Executive Director

BA, Wheaton College; MDiv, Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Jonathan has worked in urban ministry in Chicago since 1986. He is a former pastor and ministry director at LaSalle Street Church and a church planter with the Evangelical Covenant denomination, which holds his ordination. Jonathan is a founding Board member of Emmaus. (He served from 1991 – 1994 and again from 2000 – 2005.) He served as Acting Executive Director during John Green’s sabbatical in early 2005 and joined the staff full time in September of 2005. Jonathan and his wife Beverly have two daughters, Elizabeth (04/09/94) and Abigail (06/20/97) and live on the near west side of Chicago. They attend Grace Evangelical Covenant Church.
