Accessible from Anywhere.

Not long ago, EMMAUS’ building was located in a northern neighborhood of Chicago. It was far outside the areas our clientele lived, worked, or even had access to. Through feedback from survivors, we realized that we needed to move our space to meet best the needs of those we served. Our new location needed to be

  • A warm, welcoming space
  • Centrally located and closer to public transportation
  • Near partner services and providers
  • Close to trafficking hotspots

We began to pray and plan; a year later, we found our new home. The Survivor Support Center, centrally located in the West Loop of Chicago, is accessible from every neighborhood, boasting over 30 public transit stops within a 10-minute walk. As a result, clients from all across the city can easily access support services and resources such as housing, employment, education, transportation, and health care. The center is also a beautiful space that incorporates trauma-informed design in every detail. It has allowed us to provide respite and healing alongside opportunities for extended enrichment, such as community days, cooking classes, and bible studies.

The move to our new location would not have been possible without supporters like you. Please join us and experience our new Survivor Support Center through video tours over the next few weeks! We want to share more about our new space and the journey to getting here.

Thank you for your faithful support of Emmaus and commitment to empowering survivors. We’re proud to partner with you to fight for the end of exploitation for ALL mankind.
