Prevent exploitation. Empower Survivors.

Trafficking and exploitation impact ALL people, but many think it only affects females. However, studies consistently find that high percentages of men and boys are exploited in the sex trade. Experts estimate that nearly a million people in the United States have been forced to sell sex to survive, but of the 800+ organizations working against trafficking in the U.S., fewer than 2% support male-identifying clients. As a result, male victims and survivors are often overlooked, misunderstood, stereotyped, ignored, and left without support.

For over 30 years, Emmaus has been actively fighting against exploitation through prevention, outreach, survivor services, and reinvestment. Trafficking and exploitation are big problems. Together, we can find a solution.
