My interest and involvement in EMMAUS begins with a desire to live out Matthew 25, but that can be done in many arenas and in many ways. The unique attraction of EMMAUS for me is its attempt to live out that call to serve through the cultivation of deep personal relationships—one sinner coming into contact with another—and the recognition that, though physical needs may be served, real change develops in both parties the more we witness Christ one to the other in that relationship.
